ID Card FAQs
What if I lose my CYC Photo ID card?
If we can find you in our database, we can issue you a temporary waiver until the next photo session. You will have to get another card through the normal process since the photos are Polaroids and there are no negatives.
What is the CYC Photo ID Card used for?
There are two main uses:
1. To confirm that the players in the game are the players on the team's roster.
2. If a player is ejected from a game, their card is held until after their disciplinary hearing and any suspension resulting from the hearing is served.
My child does not have a CYC Photo ID Card. The team has a game on Saturday and there is no photo session between now and then. Can my child play?
We have six Districts. They each set their own policies for handling this problem. You need to contact your coach or parish athletic association to see how this is handled in your area and what you need to do.
My child is going to be playing soccer and volleyball. Do I have to take the Photo ID Card to each game?
Most coaches want to keep their team's ID Card with them for the whole season. The easiest answer is to get at least 2 cards, one for each coach. A 3rd card is also a good idea, since cards do get lost from time to time. It will save you another trip to a photo session.
